Take the Money and Run

PREMISE:
The life of Virgil Starkwell, still a young man, is presented, that presentation partly through interviews with family and acquaintances. He has been in and out of prison since he was in his mid-twenties, primarily for armed robberies. His down and out life was largely predetermined having grown up in the slums of New York City, and never having fit in anywhere in society, being shunned if not bullied. His life of crime began as a means of survival since he was inept at everything else, which is not to say that he is also inept as a robber, hence the reason he has been caught so easily time after time. His life has the potential to change when he meets and falls in love with Louise, a laundress. Louise is also somewhat of an outsider in society, she having grown up in a dysfunctional household with a strict military father and alcoholic mother. As Virgil and Louise try to eke out a life together, the fact of Louise in his life will either make Virgil turn to a life of the straight and narrow, or conversely do anything required to support her. Bananas

PREMISE:
Nebbish Fielding Mellish works as a product tester for a large corporation in New York. His relationship with Nancy, a social activist, is the first he's had in quite some time. So when Nancy breaks up with him - she knowing something is missing, but not being able to put her finger on what that is - Fielding believes the way to win her back is to get into activism, most specifically to move to the Latin American republic of San Marcos, where the elected president was assassinated and replaced by General Emilio M. Vargas, a military dictator. Nancy first met Fielding in trying to get signatures on a petition for the US to break all ties with the military government. Being an American, Fielding ends up being used as a pawn between Vargas and the revolutionary forces, led by Esposito, that function of pawn which may have fatal consequences for him. The question becomes if he is able to survive whether his actions in San Marcos will produce his desired end goal of getting Nancy back. [1]

Play It Again, Sam

PREMISE:
Overanxious film critic Allan (Woody Allen) sinks into a depression after his wife leaves him. Concerned, his married friends Dick (Tony Roberts) and Linda (Diane Keaton) encourage him to meet new women. Inspired by Humphrey Bogart's hyper-masculine persona, Allan attempts to emulate him in flirting with women. However, his frail personality ensures that his every attempt blows up in his face. His hapless romantic life reaches catastrophic levels when he develops feelings for Linda.

Everything You Wanted to Know about Sex* (*But Were Afraid to Ask)

PREMISE:
Seven segments related to one another only in that they all purport to be based on sections of the book by David Reuben. The segments range from "Do Aphrodisiacs Work?" in which a court jester gives an aphrodisiac to the Queen and is, in the end, beheaded to "What Happens During Ejaculation?" in which we watch "control central" during a successful seduction. \[1\]

Alvy Singer is one of Manhattan's most brilliant comedians, but when it comes to romance, his delivery needs a little work. When Alvy's own insecurities sabotage the affair, Annie is forced to leave Alvy for a new life - and lover - in Los Angeles. Knowing he may have lost Annie forever, Alvy's willing to go to any lengths - even driving L.A.'s freeways - to recapture the only thing that ever mattered...true love.
